WHAT IS C3?
Collaborate to Create Change (C3) is an NGO established in 2016 with the purpose of supporting teachers and building accountability in the system to improve the quality of education in government schools.
WHAT CHALLENGES ARE GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS FACING?
The schools are struggling to deliver quality in education, with increasing dropout rates and decreasing attendance.
HOW DO WE AIM TO ADDRESS THIS CHALLENGE?
Starting a whole-school transformation by building a growing pool of motivated teachers.
In order to bring about a positive change in the system, we believe that we need to train, teach, reorient, motivate, modernise, invest in, work with, recognise, celebrate, reinvent TEACHERS.
WHAT DO WE AIM TO DO?
C3 is built on the ideology that government schools need Public-Private Partnerships.
Our strategy is to develop a district-level collaborative model which can be effectively implemented nationally, involving the government, schools, NGOs and content partners specialised in the educations sector, and fellows (teachers selected to participate in a year-long fellowship).

In April 2017, thanks to the unconditional support of South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) which signed a Memorandum of Understanding with C3, we launched our pilot project "PEHAL"!
OUR CORE INITIATIVE:
L.E.A.D. Fellowship for teachers and Headmasters
Our project's core initiative is: L.E.A.D. (Lead through empathy, appreciation and development) Fellowship. L.E.A.D. aims to not only motivate the teachers to become part of the change, but also prepare them to become implementers of the whole program on the ground.
The fellowship will: Empower teachers with skills required for professional development,
Help them identify their purpose and link it with their work, and
Build a community of like-minded people.
The fellowship mainly includes:
A 2-WEEK BOOT CAMP focused on key soft and hard skills. AN EXPOSURE TRIP to various well-performing schools/NGOs. TEACHERS' PLACEMENT IN THEIR RESPECTIVE SCHOOLS. They will be the key resource people to coordinate the design and delivery of our project and oversee base/mid/endline surveys. ONLINE TRAINING MODULES REGULAR WORKSHOPS & DEBRIEF SESSIONS.
We are living in a digital era.
Teachers, however, may often be intimidated by this new world of opportunities. This is why teachers will:
- receive training in key digital skills (Basic IT skills, Case Study analysis & problem solving online research & presentations),
help promote a digital culture in their schools.
In June 2017, we bought 10 computers for the schools, which we used for the computer sessions during the boot camp!
