NUS Enterprise from the National University of Singapore (NUS) awarded the Innovation/Practicum Grant of SGD10000 in 2010 to our co-founder Anoj, an NUS alumnus. NUS Enterprise continues to support us with public exposure and connections that convert into lenders and supporters for Milaap.

Microfinance Society Singapore

MFSS supports Milaap by encouraging their member base to contribute to Milaap's initiatives. They also partnered with us in July 2010 for a fundraising event in Singapore. Our co-founder Anoj is a founding member of MFSS.

NS Raghavan Center for Entrepreneurship and Learning (NSRCEL), Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB)

Our India office is incubated at the Nadathur S. Raghavan Center for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL) at the prestigious IIMB. Thanks to NSRCEL, Milaap has access to IIMB's extended network of students, alumni, faculty members, and the consultants occasionally engaged by IIMB. The mentoring and early support has been critical to Milaap's success.

Betterlabs

BetterLabs, through its "Causable" initiative leverages their product development capabilities to extend the impact of non-profits. They developed pro bono the first version of Milaap's online platform in a short span of two months.

PayTM Online

One97, a Mobile Value Added Services company supports Milaap with PayTM, a secure cross-platform payment gateway that enables payments across web, mobile and IVR. We do not incur a processing fee for loans made from Indian banks, ensuring that the entire loan amount goes to the borrower.

Dasra (www.dasra.org)

Our co-founder Anoj was part of Dasra Social-Impact hosted by Dasra, India's leading strategic philanthropy foundation that supports 150 non-profits and social businesses and has mobilized USD 7mn in funding for development.

Dasra Social-Impact is an annual executive education program to help build 3-5 year business plans that scale the social impact of non-profits and social businesses. As a participating enterprise Milaap won the Dasra Social-Impact Award 2011 in Social Business category.

UnLtd India

In June 2011, Milaap was a Level 3 incubatee of UnLtd India, recognized as one of the top 5 social enterprise incubators in the world. Besides mentorship and connections to UnLtd's vast network, we also have a funding commitment from the Social Business Fund, a joint initiative between UnLtd India and the Edmond & Benjamin de Rothschild Foundation.

Village Capital

Inspired by early microfinance lending groups, where entrepreneurs selected loan recipients from their own group, Village Capital, started by First Light Ventures, uses social entrepreneurs to recommend investment ready companies. As a part of the Dasra Social-Impact program, we were recommended by our peers for Village Capital Investment in 2011.

SPRING Singapore

Milaap as one of the top 15 ideas in 2011 at the Development Fund Initiative was awarded a grant toward product development by SPRING, an enterprise development agency of the Government of Singapore that seeds and nurtures innovative start-ups to build a pro-enterprise environment.

DBS

In 2008, DBS, a leading financial services group in Asia, launched DBS Social Enterprise Package to support the growth of social entrepreneurship in Singapore. A trailblazer in the banking industry, DBS Social Enterprise Package offers social enterprises fee waivers and other attractive benefits on a variety of transactional banking facilities, making them more affordable. We are "glad" recipients of the Social Enterprise Package.

MakeSense

MakeSense has been instrumental in getting us visibility within the social business community in Europe through word-of-mouth and social media channels. MakeSense through its web application (makesense.org) and live gatherings has organized a number of sessions and gathered people to brainstorm on some of Milaap's challenges and issues.

SuSapta

SuSapta an organization formed by 7 (Sapta) friends with a vision to catalyze community development through education is one of the earliest supporters of Milaap. They have made a social investment in our loan program for vocational training and employability with our field partner Grameen Koota.
